The Great Annecy Semnoz Walk

In these times of health crisis, Bonlieu Scène Nationale wished to maintain the Grande Balade which traditionally opens the festival the Annecy Landscape Festival. But the stroll which was previously done in the streets and parks of Annecy will be held this year at the top of the Semnoz massif.

The Festival Annecy Paysage 2020 proposes you the Great Stroll

The Annecy Paysage Festival is conceived by Bonlieu Scène Nationale with the support of the city services. It takes place every year since three during the summer. This 2020 edition is scheduled from July 4 to September 25.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the festival was almost cancelled. Fortunately, its very concept : stroll to discover works of art contemporary art allows for sufficient social distancing.

Artists, landscapers and designers produce about thirty installations in the natural and historical sites of Annecy. The thread of Ariane is to reinterpret known places with works that question the place of nature in the city, on global warming. Every year, a big walk is organized in town to open the Annecy Paysage Festival.

This year, it will take place at the top of Semnoz on more than 4 kilometers of hiking trails at 900 meters of altitude.

In the company of musicians, dancers, circus artists and actors, the public will discover Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2020 a "wandering show" all along this route punctuated with shows, performances, concerts and artistic interventions

It is a real open-air show which is proposed with concerts, shows, artistic interventions which will punctuate the route. More than 100 artists are invited for this great celebration including Philippe Decouflé, Jean-Baptiste André and Yoann Bourgeois.

10 000 spectators are expected, for this event to share in the open air.

Practical information to participate

Date and time Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2020 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (time of the last departure).

Duration of the Great Stroll : 2 hours. The walk is easy, open to all with 4 km downhill.

The free price The access is free but you can pay a financial aid to support the artists at the beginning of the tour.

Departure It is done at the combe à Huguette. To reach this point from the parking of the Semnoz station:

– Take the Belvedere cable car, free access, 1st departure at 10 am.
– On foot: 30 minutes walk with a 100 m difference in altitude.
– Take the shuttle bus from the parking lot in rotation every 10 minutes.

To reach the Semnoz resort :

• By car from Annecy or Sévrier via the Leschaux pass.
• By free bus from the bus station of Annecy : departure from 9:30 am to 2 pm on the platform N°12 with a last return at 6 pm.

On site: picnics and restaurants.

Wearing a mask is strongly advised at the departure point and mandatory in buses, shuttles and gondolas. The respect of health safety distances between groups of spectators is mandatory.
